This is a beautiful, jewelled, intricately modelled, gold gilded, bronze, Sino Tibetan, Chenrezig Bodhisattva. He is seated on a single lotus throne and holds two sacred Vajra Objects. With a high jewelled Crown and blue hair, he wears the clothes, robes, and jewellery of an enlightened Bodhisattva. The base has a copper plate. Verified and tested 24k Gold, applied with 'Cold Gilding' gold leaf technique. I've reset and replaced the empty jewellery settings with 13 similar size, quality semi precious and precious gemstones ( I was a senior Jewellery Designer in Soho, London in the 1990s) GEMS: Turquoise x15 Ruby x2 Grade AAA ( Grade A to AAA in the international grading system, Grade A being the highest quality) No plastic or glass. Although typical of pieces from the early Ching Dynasty, I believe this is from the late 20th or early 21st century. A delightful Collectors piece, powerful Buddhist Altar statue, gift, or interesting interior design statement. Stored under Buddhist conditions in my meditation room, in my Buddhist Retreat studio.
