The underside base is also marked with VOC monogram. The Arita porcelain became popular in The Netherlands when the Dutch East India Company (VOC - Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie) started trading in porcelain. Due to turmoil in China around 1644, the VOC turned to Japan for the porcelain trade. Delftware was greatly influenced by Arita porcelain. Dimensions: Diameter: 12 cm Height: 17 cm There are imperfections, dirts and signs of wear from its age, for condition and details, please, take a look at pictures.
