The painter Pieter Daniel Dik, who died at a young age,
Alkmaar 28 September 1943 - Schoorl 30 May 1984.
In The Netherlands, Belgium, Great Britain, France, Germany, Canada and the United States, he established fame.
I bought this rare and beautiful painting around 1978.
At an art dealership in Bergen in Noord-Holland, the Netherlands.
After his 22nd year he devoted himself exclusively to painting.
He spends a lot of time observing animals,
dunes and forests, and natural landscapes.
Pieter Dik's works are
in museums and private collections world-wide.
A rare and very beautiful work of a wild boar.
Due to the varnish, the photos are not always showing the painting in full.
Including the blue reflection,
But his brush strokes are clearly visible.
