The manuscript is a copy of the contract for the construction of the new cemetery of Pescia, in the locality of Muraccio.

The deed of sale of the field in the locality of Cardellini is also reported (everything reported on the first page - cover - of the manuscript.)

Within the document, a previous desire to construct the cemetery is mentioned, denied at that time.

After several attempts with the approval of various personalities such as:
Carlo Ippoliti, Chancellor Iaccardini, and with the opinion of the physical doctors the construction of the cemetery is approved.

It then reports which territory was best for construction.

It then moves on to the estimate of the surrounding area as well as the assignment of the construction works; there is talk of an assessment of the lands where to build and those bordering with all annexes, there is then talk of a sale and a back-sale with the estimates and percentage rates to be repaid.

The landowners are mr. Puccinelli, Count Franco Galetti Cappelletti and Sebastiano Cinelli owner of the soil.

Land measurements are also reported using "pertiche" as a unit of measurement.

Perondi is the one in charge of estimates.

The currency of that time was scudi, lire, soldi and ducati.

As evidenced by the year reported in the act "1781", a period during the great duchy of Tuscany.


The manuscript is in very good condition, binding still strong and firm, small defect on the spine (or cover) at the top, clearly visible in the photos.
