Coupe en étain antique avec couvercle (1) - Étain - XIXe siècle
Antique thick-walled pewter cup, presumably from the 19th century.
The cup is also called tankard, it has a well-fitting hinged lid. The basement has suffered a dent over time, and has developed a beautiful tin patina through time.
The cup has known several owners, who have placed their own initials in the hinge point of the lid, since we see "W A": of the creator or owner, and over it "D W".
The cup has, but the initials of the presumed maker 'W A', no master mark, and therefore neither a content sign nor a year letter.
"One to this day usable, characteristic item from a time long gone."
