Museum item. Masonic, clock with a music box and a compass. Verge (spindle) escapement situated in the dome of the globe. The upper dome is opened by a steering wheel, clock with a music box, the hinged main plate opens the clock and the music box movement. Movement with verge escapement also called spindle with key winding and powered by a fusee with a fusee chain. There is the maker's name H.TURRNER COLCHESTER as well as the serial number 55126 on the clock. The compass with a diameter of 3.7 cm shows the directions of the world accurately. Main plate with masonic insignia and a skull. There are gems, natural sapphires and emeralds, on the base of the skull. Porcelain dial not damaged. Total height 20 cm, diameter 17 cm. Music box working but I do not know how it plays the melody. Clock in good condition, working. Two keys, one for the clock and the other to wind up the music box. The item was probably custom-made for a masonic master. The clock is not damaged, there is some abrasion on the 'globe' dome.
