Allemagne - Reconnaissance - binoculaire, BEH (Leitz Wetzlar) - 1942
These binoculars are from WW2 with markings of the then
German army, complete with bag and carrying strap, stamped Walter Winkler Spandau, 1942.
The binoculars have a magnification of 7x50, the strap is also included and in good condition, and for that time it’s of high quality, therefore it almost certainly belonged to an officer.
The binoculars are made by Leitz Wetzlar, because the code of this firm BEH is on the left side, it is most likely used on the Eastern front because it has as coding a blue circle and the lettering K.F. (Kalte Fest/Kalte Fett)
It was for the Army (Dienstglas)
The glasses are good, except for a few spots it has a clear and sharp sight. (See photos) There is virtually no damage to the glasses except for a chip by which the sight is absolutely unaffected and not visible from outside.
