All proceeds from this lot will be donated to the Dominican fathers of Bergamo (Italy). This vase was donated for charity fundraising by master Tagliapietra. One of the most renowned glass artists in the world, student of Archimede Seguso, Tagliapietra became master at 21. In his career he experimented with the finest techniques and his works have been displayed in the most prestigious museums of the world. Recognized as one of the greatest exponents of contemporary glass, he explored the various possibilities of this art through the use of Canne (glass cylinders) made by the master himself with peculiar colours, thus creating unique artworks.
He collaborated with artists and scholars from around the world and started a new Renaissance in glassmaking, influencing the course of history of glass in the world. His works are auctioned for thousands of euros each, it is enough to look at the photos to understand the greatness of this artwork, consisting of a closed vase with an internal Filigrana spiral.
The vase is in perfect condition, is signed at the bottom and shipped with a certificate of origin.
